Cell Signaling in response to stress
Brief Description of Research Interest:

Research scientist with over nine years of experience in the genetic and molecular biology field and broad knowledge in cell cycle, DNA damage and oxidative stress. Focus on the study of signaling pathways that regulate the response to stress in yeast and humans. More specifically, with my studies I have described a new function of the Protein Kinase C Pathway in the maintenance of the genomic integrity. This function is conserved in the evolution from yeast to humans. The study of the molecular mechanism that guard the genome stability is important to better understand and fight diseases like cancer. My research is focused on gaining understanding on these mechanisms.
