Profiling of microbial gut metabolites in relation to G-Protein Coupled Receptors
Brief Description of Research Interest:

My research background falls at the interface of microbiology, molecular biology and chemical biology. My PhD research focused on structurally and functionally profiling small molecule metabolites from gut microbes in relation to the activation of G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs). In addition, I implemented an biochemical assay platform to study a genotoxic gene cluster implicated in colorectal cancer. Overall, I am interested in the discovery and development of small molecules that have implications in diseases and therapeutics.
